The Odisha Junior Teacher Requirement 2023 is released by the Odisha School Education Programme Activity (OSEPA) on 10 September 2023. Interested candidates can apply from 13 September 2023 and the last date of application submission is 10 October 2023. 2000 Vacancies of Teacher is released by the OSEPA. Odisha Junior Teacher Recruitment 2023 Eligibility
Here are the educational qualifications and requirements for two categories of teaching positions:
Category-1 (For Classes I to V):
Qualifications-
Option 1: Higher Secondary (+2) or equivalent with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Option 2: Higher Secondary (+2) or equivalent with at least 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (as per NCTE regulations).
Option 3: Higher Secondary (+2) or equivalent with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
Option 4: Higher Secondary (+2) or equivalent with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Special Education.
Option 5: Graduation and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test-I (OTET-I).
- Proficiency in the Odia language up to class-X.
Category-2 (For Classes VI to VIII):
Qualifications-
Option 1: Graduation and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Option 2: At least 50% marks in Graduation or Post-Graduation and a B.Ed. degree.
Option 3: Graduation with at least 45% marks and a 1-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) (as per NCTE regulations).
Option 4: Higher Secondary (+2) or equivalent with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
Option 5: Higher Secondary (+2) or equivalent with at least 50% marks and a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
Option 6: Graduation with at least 50% marks and a 1-year B.Ed (Special Education).
Option 7: Post-Graduation with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and a three-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of the Odisha Eligibility Test-II (OTET-II).
- Proficiency in the Odia language up to class-X.

Publication of Preference List:
After the application deadline, candidates will find a list based on their first-choice district and subsequent preferences on the OSEPA website.
Online Test:
An online computer-based test will be conducted, covering the advertised syllabus.
Draft Merit List:
A preliminary merit list, sorted by district and category, will be posted online, considering district preferences and merit rank. In case of ties, criteria include age, qualifying exam marks, and additional qualifications.
Document Verification:
Candidates on the draft list will undergo document verification at their district headquarters, with specified documents outlined in the OSEPA advertisement.
Provisional Merit List:
A provisional merit list will be created, and candidates can raise objections.
Final Merit List:
The final merit list, approved by district authorities, will be published on district and OSEPA websites.
Counseling:
Candidates will be allocated schools through counseling in their districts. Vacancies will be addressed in subsequent rounds as needed; no waiting list will be maintained.
